Dynamic vs Static Wrinkles and Baby Botox

Dynamic vs Static Wrinkles and Baby Botox

Dynamic Wrinkles

Botox, Wrinkles, January 11, 2019

There are two types of wrinkles: Dynamic and Static. Dynamic wrinkles result from muscle movement, and Static wrinkles are caused by the thinning of the skin.

Dynamic Wrinkles

Most common wrinkle concerns are Dynamic wrinkles. They’re formed when you use your facial muscles to frown, smile, and raise your forehead. These lines can be diminished with Botox/Dysport injections to relax the muscles in the treated area from contracting.

Static Wrinkles

When we’re younger, we’re able to scrunch our face and make facial expressions all day and our skin will spring back to its form. As we get older, our skin loses its volume and elasticity, thus the lines from our expressions tend to stick around. These wrinkles can be targeted using dermal fillers to give you the collagen and volume you’re lacking.

What is Baby Botox?

Dynamic wrinkles can cause Static wrinkles. These days, people start getting small units of Botox/Dyport in their early 20’s as a preventative measure to slow down the path to Static wrinkles.
